13. API Access and Usage

PowerOptions Scan provides a REST API for programmatic access to market data and credit spread analysis. By using our API, you agree to the following additional terms:

API Key Management

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys. API keys should be treated as passwords and must not be shared, committed to public repositories, or exposed in client-side code. You are responsible for all activity that occurs using your API keys.

Rate Limits and Fair Use

API access is subject to rate limits based on your subscription plan:

• Free Plan: 100 requests per hour
• Standard Plan: 1,000 requests per hour
• Professional Plan: 10,000 requests per hour

Rate limits reset at the top of each hour. Excessive or abusive use of the API, including attempting to circumvent rate limits, may result in immediate suspension of API access.

Data Usage Restrictions

You may not:

• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense raw market data obtained through the API without written permission
• Use the API to create a competing service or product
• Cache API responses for longer than 24 hours
• Use the API for illegal purposes or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or discover the source code of the API

Authentication Requirements

All API requests (except documentation and status endpoints) must include a valid API key via the X-API-Key header or api_key query parameter. Requests without valid authentication will receive a 401 Unauthorized response.

API Availability

While we strive to maintain high availability, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the API. The API is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the API at any time without prior notice.

Termination of API Access

We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your API access for:

• Violation of these Terms of Service or API usage terms
• Non-payment of subscription fees
• Abusive or excessive use of the API
• Security concerns or suspicious activity
• Use of the API in a manner that harms our service or other users

RapidAPI Marketplace

Our API is also available through the RapidAPI marketplace. If you access our API through RapidAPI, you are subject to both these Terms of Service and RapidAPI's terms and conditions. RapidAPI acts as an intermediary for authentication, billing, and rate limiting.
